Claritystamp challenge

For this month's challenge I stamped white cotton fabric using Stazon & Brilliance ink in shades of blue.
I also used the Clarity Tangle stencil with and same ink pads.
A perfect way to get custom fabric for quilting:) As a newbie to quilting I was quite happy with the patchwork, although the binding could be neater!

For my challenge card this month, I chose a Clarity Poppies stamp. At Port Sunlight on Saturday, I bought another poppy stamp that can be used alongside this. Haven't had time to play with it yet cos I'm still putting all the stuff away:)  Poppies were stamped with Soot black distress and coloured with spectrum noir pens.  The clarity sentiment is very versatile. I use it often. )

Claritystamp challenge-12 Feb 2014

I couldn't resist this stamp when I saw it on C&C. I knew it would be perfect for Valentine's Day.
Gold leaf and acetate looks gorgeous. A few simple diecut frames and swirls a bit of ribbon and simple embellishments made a quick and easy card.

I was glad they allowed me to come home from hospital before the end of the month. Only just remembered I hadn't uploaded my clarity challenge!  I made a 12" x 12" wall hanging for a young couple who are setting up home together using my newest Clarity stamps and favourite butterfly stamp. Love the verse and the heart is stunning. The card was very simple, die cut elements with new home stamped using the letterbox stamps, perfect for any occasion.

Better upload and link now then get back to bed, rest and let my body heal.

Artful Times Challenge 45

          Artful Times challenge-45

I've only just found Artful Times Blog:)  I'm still looking at all the eye candy and blog hopping.
The challenge this month is soo easy I thought I would enter!

My Spellbinder die collection is growing beautifully. I love this set which cuts a beautifully ornate aperture.
This card was made by simple cutting and layering the die out of Ivory linen card. Add gold border freehand with a metallic pen. Mount onto folded Ivory card with pop dots for dimension. Cut Ponsettia from red card. Cut from Gold embossed card. Layer and add gold brads to centres. Add a bit of Icicle stickles to some of the petals.   I used the dreaded happy christmas peel offs because I ran out of time.

Looks very elegant for such a quick and easy card:)

Here's my card for this month's challenge.

Getting everything in perspective is a challenge for me when it comes to scene building.

They say practice makes perfect. That's my personal challenge for 2014.

Then maybe I'll be able to do some scenes on canvas for my kids next Christmas.

Ah well, I can dream, can't I?

This is my card for Claritystamp  Christmas challenge.

Barbara always makes it look so easy!  I think I managed to hide all the mistakes.
I need more practice!
